The 2026 Winter School concluded with student presentations showcasing innovative approaches to museum digitization, including immersive virtual reality experiences.

Munich, Germany – March 27, 2026 — The Winter School Museum Collections Digitization and Dissemination Methods, organized by the Institute for Digital Cultural Heritage Studies, concluded with a final presentation session highlighting the outcomes of participants’ collaborative projects.

Under the guidance of Prof. Nicola Lercari and Dr. Anastasia Eleftheriadou, students presented their work developed during the course, demonstrating a range of digital documentation and dissemination methods applied to museum collections.

A key highlight of the event was the integration of high-resolution 3D models into immersive virtual reality environments, allowing participants and attendees to explore digitized artifacts through interactive experiences.
