Handing over of certificates to a participant of the 2025 winter school Methods in Digital Heritage
The 2025 Winter School Methods in Digital Heritage (MDH) brought together 16 promising students from around the world and three Bachelor's students from LMU Munich to train them on museum collections digitization and dissemination methods, including photogrammetry, laser scanning, and digital preservation. An intensive training course held in Munich in March 2025 included hands-on practices at the Staatliches Museum Ägyptischer Kunst (SMÄK) and the Museum für Abgüsse Klassischer Bildwerke, as well as computer lab exercises using the facilities of the Institute for Digital Heritage Studies on Akademiestr. 7.
The participants successfully created and presented 3D models of museum objects and buildings. Subsequently, several participants chose to write a paper reflecting on possible applications of one of the learnt methods in their field.
Following the positive evaluation of the final papers, certificates of participation have been prepared and will be sent to each participant shortly.
Congratulations once again, and thank you for being a part of the LMU Munich community!
