PhD
As an interdisciplinary research unit, we are fully dedicated to transformative research on cultural heritage using cutting-edge technology and digitally mediated societal engagement with cultural heritage to address 21st century societal issues and advance digital research and scholarship. We develop and implement digital methods to find viable and far-reaching solutions to the loss of archaeological, historical and indigenous cultural heritage around the world by promoting better access and engagement with cultural heritage and enhancing its understanding, protection and restoration through new digital research and community-based participatory approaches.
If you plan to do PhD research that is in line with our institute’s research profile, do not hesitate to contact Prof. Dr. Nicola Lercari, chair of the Institute for Digital Cultural Heritage Studies. Please attach a CV and a short abstract (1-2 pages) about your PhD project.
