
Studying Japanese Studies
The Japan Center welcomes students to our BA program in Japanese Studies, the MA program in Japanese Studies, and – in collaboration with other Asian Studies Institutes – the joint MA program “Religion and Philosophy in Asia”. Moreover, we offer the opportunity for you to pursue a doctorate (Dr. phil.) in Japanese Studies.
Study and teaching at a glance
The LMU Japan-Center offers to students the following programs:
- Bachelor’s degree program in Japanese Studies for first-year students or later
- the Master’s degree program in Japanese Studies as a postgraduate course
- the Master’s program “Religion and Philosophy in Asia” in collaboration with other Asian Studies Institutes, and
- the doctorate (Dr. phil.).
