Blended Learning Model: We learn digitally. We learn beyond the classroom. And we learn together.

A blended learning model for Turkish that combines digital and collaborative learning. It creates a flexible and inclusive learning environment that takes different life realities into account and strengthens communicative skills.

Collaborative Learning

Blended learning combines digital resources with face-to-face interaction. In class, students discuss ideas, present their work, and learn from one another, creating a dynamic and collaborative learning environment.

Examples of digital exercises:

  1. Interactive H5P game map of Istanbul with learning stations that combine Turkish grammar practice with cultural landmarks and exploratory learning.
  2. Interactive H5P crossword puzzle designed to reinforce Turkish vocabulary through a fairy-tale text in a playful and engaging way.
  3. Interactive H5P dialogue card for sports vocabulary learning. The card shows a basketball hoop and ball, helping learners acquire and review Turkish sports-related vocabulary through visual association
  4. Interactive H5P drag-and-drop activity on seasons and months in Turkish. Learners match month names to the correct seasons while reinforcing vocabulary and temporal concepts.
  5. Interactive H5P image-pairing activity for practicing Turkish spatial expressions. Learners match images showing different positions with Turkish location phrases such as “inside,” “behind,” “in front of,” “next to,” and “on top of.”

H5P Dialog Cards: Vocabulary training made fun! The H5P dialog cards on the topic “Spor” help learners practice and reinforce sports-related vocabulary in an engaging and memorable way.

H5P Drag and Drop: Seasons and months. An interactive matching activity on seasons and months: learners drag and drop the months into the correct seasons, reinforcing their vocabulary through intuitive, hands-on interaction.

Blended Learning in Practice

Blended learning extends language learning beyond the classroom. By combining face-to-face teaching with digital resources, students engage with Turkish in flexible, interactive, and personally meaningful ways.
