Our institute has very extensive, practice-oriented archaeological equipment specifically tailored to the requirements of teaching and research excavations. For fine work, classic tools such as trowels, brushes, and spatulas are available in large numbers. Shovels, picks, and wheelbarrows are used for removing larger layers. Modern aids such as leaf blowers for the gentle exposure of surfaces are also part of the standard equipment. Tents, tarpaulins, and weather protection gear enable work under a wide range of weather conditions. Measuring instruments, strings, leveling devices, and marking materials ensure precise on-site documentation. The equipment is designed so that both small training excavations and larger research projects can be carried out without difficulty. Emphasis is placed on quality, ergonomics, and durability. Thanks to the excellent technical equipment, students receive hands-on training and become familiar with realistic excavation conditions. Overall, the institute is thus well equipped for archaeological work in almost any environment.
